T O P I C R E V I E WstsmithvaEvery once in a while someone (usually in reference to an item under scrutiny in "Opinions and Advice") refers to Chris Spain's astronaut autopen guide.Yesterday I used it for about the 200th time, and thought I should post a new topic here dedicated to two things: making sure all cS members know about it (and lunge for it regularly, especially when eBay is concerned) and to thank Mr. Spain for the hard work he has put into this tremendous resource for collectors.(If you go to the root page of the site, by the way, you'll find Chris' other websites about space program patches, and the wonderfully written "Hall of Shame" for terrible forgeries.)ScottI've said it before but it definitely deserves repeating: Thank you, Chris!SpaceSteveI completely agree.Chris' site has saved me more than once from my own stupidity! liebeekHear, hear. I also bought some wonderful items from Chris over the last 2 years. Thanks again Chris.spaced outAww gee shucks! I'd like to thank my agent, my folks, my sponsors... Seriously folks, I can't take credit for a great deal of the real content of the site as most Autopen patterns were idenitifed by the experts in years gone by. All I did in most cases is gather details together from multiple sources and put them in one place in an easy-to-use form.As with most of my sites it started out as just my own reference notes and grew from there. In fact even today, although I'm very familiar with most Autopen patterns I still probably use my own site as a reference once a week or so.Actually the AstroAutopens site is a week shy of it's fourth anniversary.
